Today, living in the Unites States has you worried that another recession is on the rise. What most Economists fear is the weakness in the labor market that will ultimately lead businesses and families to cut down on spending.
Lakshman Achuthan, managing director of Economic Cycle Research Institute, dumbed it down perfectly when he said, “When employment drops, income falls. When income falls, sales fall. When sales fall, production falls. When production falls, employment falls.” A simple and easily understood domino affect that’s no where near to being nice.
President Obama is getting ready to reveal his “highly anticipated” jobs package speech this thursday (9/8/2011) in front of Congress. Despite the fact that he had to reschedule his speech for the Republican’s most have announced they will still miss it. I don’t know about you but I’m excited to hear what he’s got to say. After all he is our President.. Even if you don’t like him, you’ve really got no choice at this point. But Most of all I’m very interested to hear it because I hope to see him put some light back into his peoples eyes. Especially after his most recent retreat on Ozone Standards, which angered Environmentalists and American Citizens nationwide. not cool..
On the other hand, I’m sure most people are more excited to tune into the NFL Season Kicking Off Tomorrow. I know I’m excited to watch the NY Jets host and BEAT (that’s right i used my jedi-mind tricks to see into the future) the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday 9/11/2011.
We’ll just have to see how the next few months pan out and as they say, hope the best but prepare for the worst.
