Green Bean Casserole Recipe

As we count down the hours to this years 2012 Thanksgiving Holiday we start preparing our kitchens, dinner tables and most of all our bellies for a delicious feast. One of the classic dishes of the Holiday, obviously aside from the Turkey, Stuffing, cranberries  pie etc, is Green Bean Casserole. I like to keep it classy and make it simple yet mouthwatering. This is a very basic very traditional green bean casserole recipe that is made with green beans cream of mushroom soup and French fried onions. It is probably one of my favorite dishes during Thanksgiving so i figured why not write about it.

Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans classic Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup Organic Milk from Whole Foods Market
  • 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
  • some fresh Black Pepper
  • 7 cups of Cooked Organic Green Beans
  • 2 2/3 cups French Fried Onions

Preparations:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Inside oven friendly 3 qt casserole serving dish stir together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, green beans, and 2/3 cup of the fried onions.

Directions:

  • Once oven is ready go ahead and insert Casserole Dish with ingredients stirred in.
  • Let it bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and take remaining 2 cups of french fried onions and spread them over the top of the casserole.
  • Insert Casserole dish back into oven and bake for another 5 more minutes.
