wait what..? Last night was a very strange night for boxing. As soon as the Pacquiao vs. Bradley results were announced, a state of shock set in with the audience at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Even the fans watching the PPV live event across the globe were confused. A Split Decision verdict was awarded to Timothy Bradley, with the scorecards reading 115-113 in his favor twice, against 115-113 for Manny Pacquiao from the third judge. By the response from the crowd and everyone who has watched the fight in reply or live thought Manny Pacquiao clearly deserved to win. Given his title in the boxing no one thought the scorecards possibly could have come up the way they did. If you watched the fight you would have noticed how Pacquiao was the busier fighter and he landed more shots. Furthermore, the shots that Manny landed did increasingly more damage. Manny Pacquiao clearly staggered Bradley on several occasions. He seemed to be in much control of the fight, while dictating where it would lead and how it was taking place. Bradley was certainly game, and proved any remaining critics wrong. He displayed a fantastic chin, and true heart and grit, along with unending warrior instincts. He also did some great body work in the fight. That said, none of that should have been enough for him to get the verdict. With the win, Timothy Bradley, by far, had the biggest win and biggest moment of his career Saturday night. He not only unseated one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, but he also takes home Manny Pacquiao’s title belt, and retains his undefeated record.

A rematch with Pacquiao, one which Bradly predicted and promoted before this first fight ever even took place, will most likely be set for later this year, sometime around November. Some potential other major fights include dates with Floyd Mayweather or Amir Khan. However, after a win of this size, Bradley certainly gets to call the shots.
